Multi-stage DX cooling coil
Extends from Buildings.Fluid.DXSystems.Cooling.BaseClasses.PartialDXCoolingCoil.
Information
This model can be used to simulate an air source DX cooling coil with multiple operating stages. Depending on the used performance curves, each stage could be a different compressor speed, or a different mode of operation, such as with or without hot gas reheat.
See Buildings.Fluid.DXSystems.Cooling.UsersGuide for an explanation of the model.
Components
| Type | Name | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Modelica.Blocks.Interfaces.IntegerInput | stage | Stage of cooling coil (0: off, 1: first stage, 2: second stage...) | |
| Buildings.Fluid.DXSystems.Cooling.BaseClasses.SpeedSelect | speSel | Normalize the speed signal based on the compressor stage input | |
| Modelica.Blocks.Math.IntegerToBoolean | onSwi | On/off switch |

Updated redeclare and replaceable statements.
This is for issue 4421. -
March 19, 2023 by Xing Lu and Karthik Devaprasad:
Renamed class toMultiStageCoolingto differentiate it from DX heating coils.
Extended class changed to Buildings.Fluid.DXSystems.Cooling.BaseClasses.PartialDXCoolingCoil.
Updated connection statements because of coil capacity block instance being renamed fromdxCootodxCoi.
Updated formatting for readability. -

Setfinal massDynamics=energyDynamics.
This is for #1542. -
September 6, 2012 by Michael Wetter:
Changed control signal from a real number to an integer that is equal to the stage of the coil. Removed filter at the control input signal because there is anyway an event when the signal changes, and because the filter led in Buildings.Fluid.DXSystems.Examples.SpaceCooling to a higher computing time. -
