Generator-models of different order
Diagram of GenOrder3and7

Extends from Modelica.Icons.Example (Icon for runnable examples).

Information

The example illustrates the difference in dynamic behaviour between low- and high-order generator models.
A common 3-phase short circuit occurs at 100 msec, cleared after 300 ms.

Compare for example:

  .generator.i current
  .generator.tau_el torque
of turbGen1 and turbGen2.
The high order model exhibits fast damping of torque-oscillations due to the damper windings. See also damper currents i_rd, i_rq (protected).
